Photomotto

I have always liked capturing pictures with feeling, and a few years ago I bought my first Manual Film Camera to better learn how to manipulate my creative intent. As fate would have it (sometimes bad things can lead to good) after our home had been broken into, I had home insurance to help upgrade to a newer, more modern style DSLR. As I started to explore even more, I decided that this was a route in life I'd like to grow and give opportunity to flourish. Thus I began my apprenticeship under Hope Walls Photography through TicDESIGN. It was during this time that I went from searching for directive in how things should be done to finding myself in what I love. Above all the technical tidbits I've come to know, explore and continuously learn, I was allowed to laugh, cry and feel what photography truly is at the heart. Now as a proud Alumni of the TicDESIGN mentorship program, I continue to venture out independently in the world of photography.

Through photography, and in having family and friends of my own (which means love in my life), I have become a firm believer that no matter what the moment be — the unfolding of a tulip in the spring, a child's first birthday, the marriage to the love of ones life — it all holds value in our world, in our hearts and in our memories. It's something we were for a few seconds or an era in our lives, for a moment, and it creates who we are right now. Theoretically, photos are these moments captured to keep and help not fade from our minds and hearts.

For each session or event that I cover, I strive to capture the story and feeling created at that moment. I try to explore the moment on digital film, for you.
